Pressure reducing valves

Pressure reducer or balancing valve: how to regulate the water pressure in a hydraulic circuit.

To bring the water pressure to optimal operating values, it may be necessary to install a pressure reducer at certain points in the system. The function of these balancing valves is to avoid overpressure and protect the system from dangerous water hammers.
In diaphragm pressure reducers, it is the resistance of the latter that generates a pressure drop so that the outlet pressure does not exceed the maximum permitted operating values.

The applications of pressure reducers are many: in drinking water supply systems, in water heating systems but also in industrial systems where pressure regulation is essential for functional and safety reasons.
