Compactness is the main feature of double disc check valves which can be installed directly between flanges. They are suitable for multiple applications in systems where it is necessary to avoid the backflow of a liquid or gaseous medium.

When the pressure of the fluid overcomes the pressure of the spring and the resistance of the valve, the two semicircular flaps of the shutter open to close again if the flow pressure decreases or the direction changes. Double disc check valves are designed to ensure quick opening and closing.
