CYBLE SENSOR 2W K=1 L=5
Cyble communication module designed to meet the requirements of all water utilities that intend to carry out remote reading of their water meters. Since water meters represent a significant investment for utilities, all Itron water meters are already pre-equipped with a view to present or future developments in remote reading technologies. Proven by several hundred thousand Cyble modules installed, this patented technology guarantees reliable remote counting.
Cyble Sensor is suitable for numerous remote reading applications in residential, commercial and industrial environments. In particular it provides:
- Remote reading
- Consumption recording
- Consumption profile analysis
- Frequency / current conversion
- Automatic control
Cyble compatibility
Cyble Sensor is fully compatible with all Itron water meters on which the index is installed: It can be easily upgraded and installed on meters already in the field. With a few simple installation steps, there is no need to break or remove the meter seal and the protective cover. The pre-equipment of the meters is identical for all pulse weight values.
High reliability
Thanks to the special patented principle, reverse flow and pulses are detected and compensated so that the meter totalizer and the remote register are always aligned. Data integrity and reliability are essential for use in billing applications.
- Magnetic tampering is impossible, since the non-magnetic target is not affected by an external magnet.
- Since detection is based on the change in induction, the module can be used in flooded pits.
- Designed to withstand harsh environments.
- Cyble Sensor is not sensitive to pipe vibrations. Spurious pulses do not disturb the measurement.
- Cyble Sensor complies with E.M.C. standards for protection against electromagnetic interference.
Output signals
- LF (low frequency)
- The LF output is the compensated output: reverse flow and pipe vibrations do not generate any pulse.
- The modules are factory-programmed with a K factor which, when multiplied by the HF signal, allows the transmission of higher pulse weight values. - HF (high frequency)
- The HF signal detects the rotation of the Cyble Target. HF signal = 1 pulse per revolution. It represents the lowest pulse weight that can be transmitted remotely and remains active in the presence of any flow, regardless of its direction.
- The DIR signal indicates that the HF signal corresponds to a water flow in the forward or reverse direction. - Cable cut: through an earth loop current, it is possible to check the condition of the cable.
